August Meeting and October Homebrew Fest

We had a wonderful turn out this evening for our August club meeting. Thank you to Ink Factory Brewing for hosting us tonght and to each of our judges for helping out with our Interklub Competition.

Legacy Ale Works will host the 3rd annual Homebrew Beer Fest on Saturday, October 19th from 2 pm to 5 pm. Setup for homebrewers is from noon – 2 pm. Open to ~30 brewers.

Homebrewer requirements:
Brewers are asked to provide 3 to 5 gallons of beer per entry.  You may enter 1 or 2 beers.  Beer can be provided in the form of bottles, cans or served from the keg.  You will need to provide dispensing equipment for your keg (fittings, hoses, C02, etc.).
 
Legacy will provide: 
Each brewer will receive an entry package to the fest which will include a souvenir sampling glass, an event sticker, a $15 Meal Voucher and a Beer voting card.
 
Legacy will provide ice to all participants who need it. 
 
Live music will be provided by Tim and Jerry acoustic duo.
 
Event t-shirts will be available for purchase.
 
How the fest will work:
Legacy will manage ticket sales to the fest. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to a charity (more info on that soon). Guests who purchase a ticket will receive a souvenir sampling glass and voting card to vote for their favorite beer. At the conclusion of the fest, we will tally the votes and award the People’s Choice Award which comes complete with a snazzy trophy and bragging rights!
